If like me you are affected by slowly advancing years and the old mince pies are not what they used to be, your digits no longer digit as they used to or you are just plain clumsy or butterfingered then this tip is for you.
The most fiddly job in angling is undoubtedly tying hooks and like me you have probably spent valuable fishing time trying to tie a hook, or more accurately trying to thread your line through the eye of the hook, not to bad with mono as it’s a bit rigid but when using braid to tie hair rigs that the problems really start. You can of course wet the braid and snip a bit off but like all things a little bit becomes a bigger bit and so on until eventually you have snipped all your braid away and are left with a stump from what started out as an 6” hooklength.
Using this simple tip in the video will save you hours of fishing time and miles of expensive braid! It’s easy to do whether you are using the kitchen table or in your bivvie on a cold, dark, wet night.
