Nash TT Rig Station PDF Print E-mail

Well I had been thinking about getting one of these new rig stations for a while. I looked at the offerings from Nash with their Boxlogic TT rig station, The Daiwa version and also the TFG option. One thing that was concerning me was the amount of storage space they offer, would it be enough for me? I am the person who takes enough stuff to last a month, Enough bait to keep a lake fed for a year.

I decided on going for the Nash version because this was the option that had the most flexible box, you can change the compartment dividers to make the space bigger or smaller, the lid fits snug over the compartments so you don't have all your tackle falling out when you lift it up. It is also the best option for add-ons. The box has been available for less than a year and already you have a dedicated bag for it ( I got one of these as well, as usual excellent build quality from Nash, well padded and very comfortable to carry) the TFG offering was material and looked like it would break in the first couple of uses and the Daiwa one i did not think gave the same options or storage that the Nash one offers.

On the actual box, well being made by Nash build quality don't come into it, you know its going to be good, its going to last. The lid as previously mentioned is a nice snug fit. It has a integrated ruler on the lid so you can measure your rig length or crafty carpers will measure any weed as well so you know how far you got to pop up your baits. It also has a very good high lip all around to stop your tackle rolling off. Attached to the side is 2 removable trays, one for baiting tools or items you need on a regular basis, the other is a clear water tank to test your rigs in, these simply unclip and get stored inside the box during transit. on the front is a drawer which contains a rig board, the drawer is kept shut by a spring loaded clip. inside the main box itself you will find one deep recess at the back for hook braids, floats etc along with many changeable containers, simply move the divider to get the size you want. The legs on the box are also spring loaded and are telescopic, each of the legs has a decent sized mudfoot on it to stop it sinking.

A very good optional extra is the Rig Station light, a super bright single LED flexible light running off 3 AAA batteries. The light clips on to the box and provides you with more than enough light to see inside your box and you can also use it to help tying rigs in the dark, however if your eyesight is a bit poor you  might prefer your head light.

PROS:

Lightweight

Flexible

Fantastic build quality

Many optional extras

Massive storage capacity

a One solution fits all

CONS:

Costs just over £100 for the rig station and the bag (bag is really a must)

Cant really use it as a bivvy table if your like me and put everything on a bivvy table, alarm receiver, coffee cup, keys, wallet, phone etc etc as you would need to remove them before opening box.

Available: Available now from most tackle shops although the bag maybe more difficult to get. JP-Tackle stocks them both along with the optional extras.
