Buzzers Baits, Marine 14s
I ordered a kilo of these boilies as they had (still are) taking a lake I fish apart (Orchard Place Farm), me being me decided to order at the last minute and spoke to Darren (one of the directors) to enquire about a next day delivery service. I was assured that this would not be a problem but was a premium service (which was to be expected). The very next day a parcel arrived for me direct from Buzzers Baits via Parcel Force. Inside was some freshly rolled Marine 14 boilies. These little round balls of carp goodness are designed to be soft, this helps maintaines all the nice scent released from the bait, also helps to ensure the nutrional content remains inside the boilies. The boilies are highly digestable and unlike some other baits they are not just some fancy coloured doughballs which offer nothing nutrional for the Carp.
Although Buzzers Baits keep the recipe a secret I have found out that they contain 14 different ingredients including; Haiths Robin Red Pre Digested Fish Meal, Squid Flesh Meal and a few more secrets. The bait itself is sort of like a deep plum, blood red colour, they have a fishy meaty smell to them which continues to be excreted even after a long period of being in the water. They come in a range of sizes from 10mm up to 20mm and also round and dumbell shapes.
I found they work well when fished over a pva bag of crushed boilies and then a Marine 14 boilie on the hair with a bit of Buzzers baits fruity fingers to top it off (a fruity finger is like a pop up sausage which you cut to size)
At around £9 per kg (900g if you are buying 10mm) they are not over priced at all and you would often find you had to spend upwards of £13 to obtain a bait of this quality although even at that price I doubt it would have the same quality of raw ingrediants.
You can buy them from the shop onsite at Orchard Place Farm Fishery, or direct from their website (where they have a very extensive range of other baits including particals, pop ups, etc)
dont forget to tell them you heard about it here!
